SUMMARY

What happened in the first few moments of our Universe's existence? Today, scientists armed with giant telescopes and powerful particle accelerators, are probing the outer reaches of matter and the cosmos. But their impulse to explain our origins is the same as the one that drove the ancients.

In this talk CERN physicist and best-selling author Guido Tonelli sets out 'to do justice to the great origin story that modern science gives us'.

SPEAKER:

Guido Tonelli is an Italian particle physicist. He is one of the main protagonists in the discovery of the Higgs Boson at the Large Hadron Collider. He is a professor of General Physics at the University of Pisa (Italy) and a CERN visiting scientist.

His latest book 'Genesis: The Ultimate Origin Story' is available from Amazon and all good reatilers.
