Basingstoke Science & Climate Cafeis a place where anyone is welcome to explore the latest ideas in science, technology and climate change. We encourage our members and attendees to donate the price of a coffee towards our speakers expenses, administration and web site costs.
We aim to host regular Science, Technology and Climate Changepublic talks and discussions at theRed Lion HotelBarin London Street. These events include a mix of live speakers plus discussion of the event topic in a follow-on Q&A session. The live speakers are experts in their field invited from local companies and academic centres and are specialists in the subjects under discussion.
We also publicise in our calendar the details of many live-stream public talks from the likes of TED.com, The Royal Institution, The Royal Society and other Cafe Scientifique groups. Booking for these online talks is often handled outside this meetup group, so please read the event instructions carefully.
